Project: Child Thrive Projects (2)

Region Stockholm and its partner Jinja Municipal Council in Uganda are planning two one-year project.

On of the project will strengthen the quality of care for children with neurological conditions by increasing awareness of children’s rights among healthcare staff and guardians, reducing stigma, and enhancing inclusion in society. The initiative will also develop sustainable training structures for children’s rights ambassadors and improve communication between local governments, healthcare workers, and families. The project will indirectly benefit children, parents/guardians, and health professionals.

The other project will build staff capacity in life-saving care, implement evidence-based guidelines, and develop a mentorship structure within hospitals. It also aims to improve communication with guardians and increase patient safety. The project will indirectly benefit newborns and acutely ill children, as well as healthcare workers, by improving health outcomes and supporting sustainable systems for clinical training.

The partnership is part of the Network for Equitable Health.
