Municipal Financing Supporting Local Development and Local Democracy

Are you a local government official? Do you want to learn more about tools to finance local development?

This 18 months International Training Programme offers a training in public financing and Local Economic Development. You will have the opportunity to work on a challenge from your own local government, and get support and knowledge from experts, mentors and colleagues from other local governments. The programme focuses on local financial development using principles of equitability, participation and transparency.

The following countries are eligible for the programme: South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

The programme period: December 1st 2018 – May 31st 2020.

Please note that participants should be local government officials in a strategic and/or financial position.
