Falun and Mogale, South Africa
This project is part of the “Municipal Partnership for Human Rights” network, an international network of municipal partnerships between Swedish local authorities and their international counterparts in Southern Africa that are committed to achieving Agenda 2030 through a rights based approach and that are keen to work more systematically with human rights at a local level.
Falu municipality and Mogale City are part of this network to give the opportunity to jointly work in a project closely linked to the topic participation and influence related to Agenda 2030 goal 16. Both partners have identified a mutual challenge regarding a lack of youth participation in their municipalities and would like to explore further together what their organisations, as duty bearers, can to to ensure the rights of the child are better protected, respected and promoted within their municipality.
