Local energy approach
The project will contribute to reducing poverty in Rombo district, Tanzania by introducing new democratic tools for anchoring, implementation and capacity building that contribute to increased civic participation and democratic possibilities for influence. Through the use of education, information/pilot plants in order to help increase locally produced renewable energy that streamline working methods and long-term leads to new production opportunities, especially in the agricultural sector. Another goal is to reduce the need for forest products, this in turn will lead to reduced deforestation and reduced risk of dehydration and erosion.
Through a developed strategic plan, the project’s aim is to be moving from words to action and by supporting efforts which demonstrates the potential of small-scale biogas produced to support local development.
