MPP training 2018 – Registration now open

If you are new to the Municipal Partnership Programme and/or currently in the early stages of an Inception Phase or Project with a new partner, we strongly recommend attending this course.

It is especially designed to be attended by both parties of a partnership. The aim of the course is to give you a better joint understanding of project planning in accordance with the Logical Framework Approach (LFA). We will place great emphasis on formulating a shared problem, right from the start. You and your partner will be given the tools you need to describe goals, plan activities that ensure these goals are achieved, and follow up in a logical manner.

We will also illustrate the role of municipalities in the bigger picture and the optimum approach for working with the four core areas (Equity/Inclusion, Transparency, Accountability and Citizen Participation) through which ICLD measures local democratic development. Additionally, the training will also help you to understand the thematic priorities (equality, the environment, and climate change issues) and how they can be integrated into your partnership’s project(s).

Date: 24-26 September, 2018
Time: The course runs from 11am 24 September to 1.30pm 26 September.
