The ICLD Local Democracy Talk on 8 October 2026 brought together voices and experiences from across the Women’s Political Leadership (WPL) programme to explore how women’s political leadership can contribute to change beyond individual leaders – in communities, institutions and local democracy. Drawing on twelve years of WPL experience, the conversation reflected on leadership, democratic impact, networks and solidarity, as well as what it takes to sustain change beyond individual political mandates and programmes.
