På besök i en politisk vardag i Sverige

Nu startar den andra veckan i Sverige för de 23 toppolitikerna från 12 olika länder i Afrika, Asien och Östeuropa som deltar i ICLD:s program ”Local Political Leders – Capacitating Women in Politics”.

Deltagande - Västerbotten och Yogyakarta räddar liv med medborgardialog

Genom medborgardialog har Västerbotten tillsammans med Yogakarta i Indonesien hittat sätt att förutse utbrott av denguefeber.

Snabb urbanisering leder till ojämlikhet i asiatiska städer

East-West Center och ICLD har beställt monografiska studier om tillgång till urbana tjänster för inkluderande utveckling i sex länder. I december kommer man att titta närmare på studiernas viktigaste slutsatser och rekommendationer under en workshop i Yogyakarta. – Jag hoppas att det blir ett forum där de samarbetande institutionerna kan diskutera brister i urbana tjänster och hur lokala demokratiprocesser kan påverka fattiga och marginaliserade gruppers tillgång till grundläggande service som
